Chemical composition
This type of white spirit consists of hydrocarbons with carbon numbers ranging from C7 to C12. It contains a maximum percentage of up to 25% aromatic compounds, distinguishing it from other types with lower aromatic content. However, it requires careful handling due to its flammability and potential health and environmental effects.
White Spirit – Grade 1
First-grade white spirit is produced through the process of hydrogen sulfide removal from the first part of the distillation, known as type 0 white spirit. This process involves the removal of sulfur compounds from the hydrocarbon mixture.
